By creating a lunchroom recycling program and establishing a student-run composting system, Mollie was able to educate students on the little ways they can make a big impact on our planet. Troop 65009 helped organize a hike to Two Trees located on the Rancho Ventura Conservation Trust. They learned about the site's history and the Trust's efforts to conserve our hillsides, protect local wildlife, and create a community gathering place. What a great way to get outdoors! #GSOutdoors
On November 2nd, Troop 55541 participated in a Stomp Out Hunger event, where the girls packed up dried goods for those in need in Uganda. They volunteered for five hours packing lentils, rice, and dried veggies, weighing and sealing bags, and labeling each package of food for shipping. What an amazing way to give back! About

Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast was formed in October 2007 by the merger of two great Girl Scout Councils with rich histories:  Girl Scouts of Monterey Bay and Tres Condados Girl Scout Council. Chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA to provide Girl Scouting in the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, GSCCC encompasses some of the most beautiful and environmentally significant parts of the country.  The council has a growing membership of over 10,400 girls, and over 5,600 adult volunteers who are the heartbeat of Girl Scouting along the central coast.
