On February 22 of each year since 1926, World Thinking Day is a way to celebrate with girls
all over the world by doing the same activities around a shared theme, a day of international friendship. The 2022 World Thinking Day theme is Our World, Our Equal Future. This year’s World Thinking Day starts a three-year journey for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to become environmentally conscious leaders. Each year we will build on this environmental theme and explore the links between the environment and other global concerns.
As February ends, Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast is excited
for World Thinking Day! Every year over 10 million Girl Scouts and Girl Guides worldwide through contributes to the World Thinking Day Fund. Climate change and environmental degradation are threatening our world, and our future. To earn your World Thinking Day Award, you will explore
how girls and women are affected by climate change and make the Girl Scout Tree Promise. (https://www.girlscouts.org/treepromise)
World conservation is the heart of Girl Scouting and is as important and today and the last 100 years.
To help celebrate World Thinking Day this year, Girl Scouts participate in the activity for their age group along with others if they would like. To find out more about Word Thinking Day Activities, click on
